Well, as of this week, it seems to be no longer the case. The person who has the PS Plus edition of Final Fantasy VII Remake (and a PS5 which is obviously a good idea), could upgrade to the new version. The PS5 port has faster loading times, improved texture and upgraded performance options like 225p visuals at 30 or 1512p visuals at 30 FPS.
